About Us

Hi! My name is Brooke and I'm the maker behind Porchlight Laser & Designs. I'm so glad you stopped by to check everything out! I started this venture out of mental necessity. After years of working for somebody else, putting in long hours with impossible deadlines, I decided it was time to find that work/life balance again. I left my career as a paralegal to start my own company, pretty much sight unseen. To say it was a scary leap is a HUGE understatement, but I've enjoyed every second of it!

You see, I've always been the artsy, craftsy type and so I decided to invest in that passion and design unique and creative pieces for you to enjoy. Something that sets me apart from other makers is that I'm a perfectionist. You can rest assured that your order will not leave the studio until it's passed my rigorous inspection!

So why did I name my business 'Porchlight'? Simple! When I was working those long hours for somebody else, I was often leaving the house before sunrise and heading home after sunset. Pretty much living by the light on the front porch. So as a reminder to myself to always keep pushing to make my dream a reality and so I NEVER have to live by that light of the porch again...Porchlight Laser & Designs was born!
